Willis-Knighton Cancer Center understands the importance of clinical research and is of the belief that today’s clinical study may results in tomorrow’s medicine. The research initiative is Willis-Knighton's commitment to providing our physicians and patients with the most current treatment alternatives.

Below is a list of some of studies currently seeking volunteers:

• Previously Untreated Multiple Myeloma
  To compare the Progression Free Survival of adding a single agent to lenalidomide with dexamethasone versus lenalidomide with dexamethasone alone in patients with newly diagnosed, previously untreated multiple myeloma.
• Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) (low/int-1 risk) and Transfusional Iron Overload
  To assess the efficacy and safety of iron chelation therapy with a single agent compared to placebo in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) (low/int-1 risk) and transfusional iron overload.
• Registry for Managing Patients with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) in Chronic Phase
  To assess treatment characteristics in first-line chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) as well as obtain a better understanding of overall treatment strategies, patient benefits of treatment, and the use of health care resources for management of CML in a real-world setting.
• Prevention of Nausea and Vomiting in Patients Receiving Chemotherapy
  To reduce the frequency of nausea and vomiting in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.
• Relapsed Follicular Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
  To compare progression-free survival, overall response between two single-agents in patients with relapsed follicular lymphoma.
• Anemia with Advanced Stage Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Receiving Multi-Cycle Chemotherapy
  Purpose is to demonstrate the overall survival of subjects receiving a single agent for Chemo-Induced Anemia in Stage IV Non-small Cell Lung Cancer patients.
