In the true spirit of Christmas, Willis-Knighton Medical Center Day Surgery and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) employees have done their best to spread some holiday cheer in the community.
Day Surgery nurses Micki Browning, Elizabeth Malloy and Katherine Laster orchestrated the support for the local U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive. Browning said, “It’s a pleasure to help with the drive and spread some holiday cheer for the less fortunate children in our community.” For the second straight year Willis-Knighton cardiac surgeon Curtis Prejean, M.D., supported them with a major financial donation. “We had all our boxes full, so the Marines had to do an early pick-up and bring more boxes,” said Malloy.
