Project NeighborHealth, a community service of Willis-Knighton Health System, will observe the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the WK Community Health & Education Center, 4700 Hilry Huckaby III Avenue.
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Team Work Makes the Dream Work.” The celebration will feature essays composed by 5th Grade students from area schools on the topic, “I Have a Dream Too”.
Tymwa D. Dixon, M.D., Willis-Knighton Health System physician will be the featured speaker.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award will also be presented to Frank T. Jefferson, Jr., Chairman of the Principles Before Personality Alcoholics Anonymous Support Group located in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community.
