Any parent who has had a teenager with acne understands that it’s a condition that affects not just a teen’s skin but, often, their self-esteem. That’s why Ark-La-Tex Dermatology is sponsoring a mother/daughter event focusing on acne on Tuesday, June 4, at 6 p.m. in the WK Bossier Health Center Auditorium. Dr. Josephine Futrell and Dr. Sarah Glorioso have planned a comprehensive program, “All About Acne,” that delves into skin care and acne treatment, make-up application, proper diet and nutrition as well as stress and self-esteem issues.
Joining the doctors for the program are Brittney Cotton, a licensed aesthetician; Julie Hartley, registered dietitian with WK Wellness Solutions, and Glenda Pritchett, a licensed professional counselor, who will share tips with the mother/daughter group.
A healthy dinner will be served. The cost is $7.50 per person. Seating is limited and reservations are required and may be made by visiting the Willis-Knighton website Classes and Events section or by calling the Willis-Knighton Call Center, (318) 212-8225. Each girl must be accompanied by a mother or guardian.
