Willis Knighton Radiation Oncology has helped pioneer and develop the field of Intensity modulated radiotherapy. The department has been featured on TomoTherapy Inc's webpage and on the Varian's Centerline Magazine cover for their early implementation of IMRT techniques. Research and protocols are coordinated through the specialized center. The department offers Tomotherapy helical IMRT, Varian Smart Beam Step and Shoot IMRT, and Peacock rotational IMRT. In-house development and modification of IMRT protocols and research are performed under the auspices of the center for IMRT. The center is dedicated to the advancement of IMRT. The center for IMRT is complimented by a strong dedicated physics and dosimetry staff. Our physicians and physicists have over 20 years of combined experience with IMRT gained from scores of treated patients.
