The Willis-Knighton Department of Radiation Oncology is fully accredited to
participate in SWOG trials. The Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) is a nationwide
cancer protocol organization which has been instrumental in the development of
cancer treatment standards.

In-house protocol type treatment including Intensity Modulated Radiation
Therapy (IMRT), 3-D conformal treatment of the lung, brain, prostate and GI
tract are offered as well as combined daily treatment with radiotherapy given
concurrent with chemotherapy as a radiosensitizer.

Drug trials under Pharmaceutical Company supervision may be offered.

Intensity Modulated Stereotactic Radiosurgery with invasive or relocatable head
frames is offered.

Extacranial Radiosurgery for liver, pancreas, spine tumors or previously
irradiated sites.

Tumor targeting and response trials with PET/CT Scans in cooperation with the
Biomedical Research Foundation.
