Having a test or procedure involving your heart or cardiovascular system can be stressful. We want you to have as positive an experience as possible.

Please follow all instructions given to you by you physician and reviewthis information:

  • Arrive at the specified time. There is no reason to come early. A longer wait may add to your anxiety.
  • If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify your physician's office as soon as possible.

Bring the following things with you:

  • Insurance card/information
  • Medications you are currently taken or have recently taken (including over-the-counter medications or supplements)
  • List of questions or concerns for your doctor – just so you don’t forget

We will communicate with you and with the support person you designate to receive information about you. For procedures, we ask that your support person or family remain in the building so that we can give a progress report. Our cafeteria and vending areas are available if your support person needs a meal or other refreshments. More information for visitors is available in the visitor section of our online patient guide.
