Hospice also provides strong support for families and the community. Social workers and volunteers are available to counsel and help whenever needed. Services for the family continue for one year after a patient has passed away.
Adult Bereavement Support Group
A bereavement support group is offered to provide support from others who have experienced a similar loss. This group is designed to offer encouragement to family and caregivers as they discuss the emotional challenges and other concerns often faced by the loss of a loved one.
Children and Adolescent Bereavement Support Group
A specially designed bereavement support group for children and adolescents is also offered. This group is designed to help children and adolescents struggling with the death of a loved one.
