Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree + graduation from accredited PA or NP program.
- Louisiana License
Knowledge Skills And Abilities (KSAs)
- Excellent computer skills and ability; proficiency in Windows-based products
- Documentation of treatment in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and orally, with team members and to present information to patients and their families in a manner that can be easily understood
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Work schedule flexibility
Typical Job Duties
- Performs exams/delivers care based on clinic processes and procedures
- Assesses, diagnoses, provides treatment and ongoing follow-up for patients
- Provides patient care in clinic, prior to surgery, and post op; rounding on hospital patients.
- Orders routine testing (e.g. lab, imaging)
- Provides educational information and counseling to patients regarding their health
- Prescribes medications needed for treatment
- Documents patient diagnoses, care and routine health management in a timely manner
- Surgical duties routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid, bones and tissue

- Day; some evenings for emergencies
