Sunny Hussain, MD, Presents Research Findings at International Conference

Sunny HussainSunny Z. Hussain, MD, of WK Pediatric GI Specialists, presented the findings of clinical research performed at Willis-Knighton Health System, during the annual Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS-2018) meeting held earlier this month in Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Hussain was lead researcher of the study involving Lubiprostone (Takeda/Sucampo), a new medication under consideration for approval by the Food & Drug Administration for use by children with refractory constipation. He presented the safety outcome data of this global multicenter trial involving the drug.

The annual meeting of the PAS brings together thousands of pediatricians, researchers, academics, clinical care providers and community practitioners whose mission it is to improve the health and well-being of children worldwide.  More than 8,000 attended the Toronto meeting, which included presentations on clinical issues involving a wide array of specialty and subspecialty areas in children.
