Accreditation
Willis Knighton Health is accredited by The Joint Commission. It is important that all concerns by patients, practitioners and employees are addressed. Willis Knighton Health has been named a “Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence” by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
Willis Knighton laboratory services are accredited by the College of American Pathologists and maintain a current CLIA Certification of Accreditation with the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Willis Knighton Health has been named a "Blue Distinction® Center for Knee and Hip Replacement" by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, assuring the highest standards in the rehabilitation and healthcare industry are met. Program performance and patient satisfaction are measured through a variety of internal studies and a national data bank.
The Willis Knighton Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Community Cancer Program and was awarded accreditation with commendation. In addition, the Radiation Oncology Department at the center is accredited by both the American College of Radiology and the American College of Radiation Oncology. It is the only facility within the region and one of only a few in the nation that have dual accreditation.
The Radiology/Imaging Department holds multiple accreditations, including the American College of Radiology Mammography, Commission on Quality and Safety; American College of Radiology Computed Tomography (CT) Commission on Quality and Safety; American College of Radiology PET ; Nuclear Medicine Commission on Quality and Safety, and American College of Radiology MRI, Commission on Quality and Safety
Respiratory care at Willis Knighton has been awarded the Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) designation from the American Association for Respiratory Care. Only 10% of hospitals in the United States received this award.
