Advances in Biofilm and the Future of Infection Prevention in Prosthetic Urology

Purpose

Evaluate the sensitivities of cultures to help guide the implanting prosthetic urologist on what antibiotics to use and guide future industry choices for infection prevention

Eligibility

All appropriate patients treated by Dr. Henry for erectile dysfunction via penile prosthesis surgery will be included.  Patients not experiencing complications after IPP placement will not be included.

Study Process

Review culture data from explanted Inflatable Penile Prosthetic devices to determine sensitivity to antibiotic / antifungal treatments.
