Testimonials

I have worked in the Willis-Knighton Health System for over nine years, I have been in the FlexPool for 2 years. As a mother of two young children and wife of law enforcement officer, the FlexPool is the perfect job for me. I was nervous to step outside my comfort zone and go to all the hospitals and meet all the staff but now I could not be happier. I have gained so much knowledge and made some wonderful friends as a FlexPool nurse. I have never missed a school play, field trip, or had to say no about having lunch with a child. The management and staffing office are wonderful people that care about each employee and work with you however they can. I feel blessed beyond measure to be a WK FlexPool nurse.

I have worked in the Willis-Knighton Health System FlexPool since June of 2009. I love being a part of the FlexPool because it allows me to have a flexible schedule. This helps me find the work/life balance that I need. I also love the staff! It's by far the best group of people I have worked for in my nursing career!

- Kalilah Thompson

I started working for Willis-Knighton as a night shift nurse in June 2000. I decided to join the Flex pool team in 2008. I was reluctant at first but instantly realized it was the right decision for me and my family. I truly enjoy the varying challenges of working different areas in nursing. It transformed me from a staff floor nurse to one that is highly diverse and ready to handle or tackle any challenge that is thrown at me. I also have the opportunity to learn from other professional nurses from the varying department and have made some great friends along the way. Lastly, by making my own schedule, I'm able to be with my family and friends during the special moments or occasions.
