Dr. Hilario graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport and obtained his undergraduate degree in biology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He then received his medical training from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, graduating with honors. Upon graduation, he completed his podiatric medicine and surgical residency with the added credentials of reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
His training includes special emphasis on foot and ankle trauma, forefoot and rearfoot/ankle deformity correction, arthroscopy, sports medicine, charcot repair, and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Hilario co-authored articles and presentations in foot and ankle surgery journals regarding joint replacement during his training. He has also authored a chapter in an Orthopedic Surgery textbook.
Dr. Hilario is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
