Meet Dr. Iqbal Singh

Dr. Singh completed his medical residency at the Dundee University Hospitals in the United Kingdom in 1990 and then achieved full membership in the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. He also completed an additional medical residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Penn., in 1995 and a cardiology fellowship program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. At Vanderbilt he was Chief Cardiology Fellow and undertook an additional fellowship program in Clinical Electrophysiology and served as assistant professor of medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. He also served as directory of ambulatory Cardiology at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Nashville. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Singh moved to Shreveport to practice Cardiology in 2002. He offers noninvasive and noninterventional cardiology. He has advanced expertise in echocardiography, including transesophageal and stress echo. He treats all cardiovascular diseases but he has particular interest in valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias and preventive cardiology.

Dr. Singh is a fellow of the American college of Cardiology and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the American Heart Association and American Society of Echocardiogaphy. In his private time, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time with his wife Mirjana, and daughters Elizabeth and Sophia.
