Meet Dr. Michael J. Beal

Although Dr. Beal was born in Detroit, Mich., he has lived in Shreveport since was 4 years old. After graduating from Caddo Parish Magnet High School in 1992, he then completed his undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he held many honors for his exemplary achievements and club participations. In 2000 he received his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and completed his otolaryngology training at LSU in 2005. During this time, he not only excelled in academics he also participated in a unique pilot drug study of quantitative aspiration in patients with symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Beal is licensed by the Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners and is a board certified Diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is also a member of the Shreveport Medical Society and Louisiana State Medical Society. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors, running and spending time with his family.
