Dr. T. Ryan Palmer received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Louisiana State University – Shreveport in 1996 and his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2000. He also performed his Gastroenterology fellowship at LSUHSC and completed it in 2006. He began his career locally in private practice but went on to serve our Veteran’s as a GI physician at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport for the past 10 years. During this time Dr. Palmer was also an associate professor at LSU and trained other Gastroenterologists.

Dr. Palmer is proficient in various GI procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP. He treats diseases such as GERD, peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease. He has special interest in removing complex colon polyps, nutrition, and weight loss.

Dr. Palmer stays current on all of the latest information in the field of Gastroenterology, and is Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
