Survivorship Program

Welcome to the Willis Knighton Cancer Center Survivorship Program. We know that surviving cancer is a journey that continues long after active treatment ends. Our program is dedicated to supporting you, not just in living, but in thriving. By providing expert guidance on managing long-term side effects, and resources for physical and emotional well-being, we aim to empower you to take charge of your health. Together, we will navigate your next chapter with confidence and care.

Finding your way after a cancer diagnosis is a journey that begins the moment you are diagnosed and continues through and beyond treatment. Cancer survivorship services are designed to help you navigate this transition, offering a personalized roadmap to manage your long-term health and well-being.

A comprehensive survivorship program typically includes:

  • Long-term management of side effects: Specialized support to identify and address the physical, emotional and cognitive effects that can persist after treatment, such as fatigue, neuropathy or anxiety.
  • Surveillance and prevention: Expert monitoring to watch for cancer recurrence and provide guidance on nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes to reduce future risks.
  • Psychosocial and practical support: Access to resources that help manage the emotional, social and financial impacts of cancer, including peer mentoring and counseling.
  • Coordinated care: Bridging the gap between your oncology team and your primary care physician to ensure all your health needs are met throughout your life.

The goal of these services is to help you survive — and ultimately thrive — by providing the tools and expert guidance needed to reclaim your health and adjust to life after cancer.

Your cancer care provider can help you select the appropriate services and referrals.
