Robert L. Barrett, MD

Medical Specialty – Venous Disease

Education – Louisiana Tech University; LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans.  Internship LSU School of Medicine, Shreveport.  Residency in General Surgery Eastern Virginia School of Medicine.  Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Eastern Virginia School of Medicine.  After completing two years in the United States Army and his training, he returned to Shreveport in 1978 to practice medicine.

Expertise - General and Vascular Surgery and Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.

Started the first private Vein Center in Louisiana over 22 years ago.

W. Britton Eaves, MD

Medical Specialty – Interventional Cardiology

Education – Northwestern State University; Louisiana State University Medical School.  Residency and Internship – Louisiana State University Medical Center

He joined the medical staff at Willis-Knighton in 1999.

Expertise – Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Disease. Special interests include Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Arterial -Vascular Disease, Thrombolysis of DVT.  Lower extremity balloon angioplasty, stenting and arthrectomy.

Syed Mehmood, MD

Medical Specialty – Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery

Education – Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.  Internship and Residency - Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.  Fellowships – Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Ohio State University Medical Center.

Began practicing in 2009 and joined the staff at Willis-Knighton in 2015.

Expertise - Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and in General Surgery by the American Board of General Surgery.  Areas of interest include cardiovascular and vascular surgery including procedures such as MitraClip, TAVR, EKOS, EVAR, CABG, laser treatment of varicose veins, and ambulatory phlebectomy.
