Michael Ren, MD, has joined Willis Knighton Quick Care Pierremont, part of the Willis Knighton Physician Network. He specializes in family medicine, inspired to become a doctor by his father, a retired ophthalmologist.
Ren’s goal is to provide quality, evidenced-based medical care for every one of his patients and believes it is important for patients to feel informed and confident about their health. “I aim to make sure … that the patient in front of me understands the results of our conversations and my exam and to actively involve them in their care,” Ren says.
A graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Ren earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical University of the Americas in St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
In his spare time, Ren enjoys fishing, playing video games and exploring technology.
