Dr. David F. Dies attended medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Dies then completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology/Hepatology at St. Louis University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Dies is certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He currently serves as the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center. Dr. Dies has authored numerous peer reviewed publications with special interests in advanced liver and biliary disease and advanced ERCP procedures. Dr. Dies has served on the faculty at LSU Health Science Center, specializing in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr. Dies is a member of several professional societies including the American Liver Foundation, The American Society of Transplantation, the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the United Network of Organ Sharing.
