Veron Browne, MD, MBA, is a liver transplant specialist who practices hepatology at Willis-Knighton Medical Center’s John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center. She specializes in liver diseases, including alcohol-related liver diseases such as cirrhosis. Other liver conditions include autoimmune hepatitis and hepatitis C. 

Creating a long-term bond is important for Dr. Browne, who enjoys interacting with her patients before and after liver transplantation. She is a compassionate listener who works with patients to create a comprehensive care plan for long-term success.  

Dr. Browne earned her medical degree at the University of West Indies in Jamaica. She came to the United States, where she completed her medical residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She followed that with a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at New York Methodist Hospital, and a fellowship in transplant hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Browne is triple-board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the International Liver Transplant Society. 

In addition to medicine, Dr. Browne has a master’s degree in business administration 

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, playing tennis and participating in overseas medical missions.
