Information for Clergy
Dear Member of the Clergy,
The spiritual concerns of patients at Willis-Knighton are very important. As we fulfill our mission to continuously improve the health and well-being of the people we serve, we realize that this ministry of healing includes body, mind and spirit. A hospital stay, and particularly a serious illness, can be a pivotal time in a person’s spiritual as well as physical life. At those times, patients have a special need for the love and support of pastors and ministers.
This page provides you with information about how to best offer pastoral care for your members when they are in a Willis-Knighton facility. We respect that, as a patient’s minister, you are the “first line” for spiritual care. Often, a visit to a member who is hospitalized can bring your pastoral relationship with them to a new level, and that is why we want to support your ministry to our patients.
As Director of the Spiritual Life Department, I have access to a team of trained volunteers and we are ready and willing to help if you need assistance. I invite you to call on us if we can be of service.
Please review the tabs on this web page. We welcome your suggestions and I look forward to seeing you at Willis-Knighton as we share in God’s work.
Sincerely,
Rev. Derrick Stevenson
